Charge more often or to a higher state of charge? (Reddit)
Reddit:
Does anyone actually know the science of our batteries? I’m driving a 25 Chevy Equinox EV and (like most others) I have been told it’s best to keep it between 80-20. I will obviously do what’s best but I drive 100 miles a day, 85 of which are interstate at around 70mph, in the summer it’s not been a big issue, I can get 200 miles easy and average about 3.4-3.7 mi/KwH, but in the winter I get between 1.7-2-3 mi/KwH. What’s worse for the battery, charging to 90 every other day, or charging to 80 day?
Is charging the battery every day better or worse than charging it higher less often?
